Southwestern Dog Bandana
Handcrafted in Ridgefield, Washington, these reversible slip-through over-the-collar dog bandanas are made with Taos Trail Pendleton® Wool on one side and plaid Pendleton® on the reverse.
You and your fur baby will love this soft designer reversible bandana we call The Daisy (see story, below*). These bandanas slip through your collar and are finished with metal rivets and a leather tag. Please see the info below to help choose the correct size for your pup. Since wool takes essential oils beautifully, if needed you can put a few drops of your favorite on your pup's collar, too! Bandana sizes shown in photos are S on the stuffed animal and M on Ace the Wonder Lab.
S I Z I N G:
S: fits neck size 12"-15" (like Beagles or terriers). Bandana is 7" L x 5" at tip and has a 1-1/4" opening
M: fits neck size 15"-17" (like cocker spaniel). Bandana is 8" L x 5-1/2" at tip and has a 1-1/4" opening
M/L: fits neck size 17"-20" (Like Husky, large poodle, Doodles) Bandana is 9" L x 6-1/4" at tip and has a 1-3/8" opening
L: fits neck size 20"-23" (like a golden retriever, German shepherd, lab) Bandana is 11-1/2" L x 7-1/2" at tip and has a 1-3/4" opening
CARE:
If needed, hand wash gently in wool rinse and lay flat to dry. Wool naturally repels dirt and odors, so these should wear beautifully.

THE STORY OF THIS PRODUCT:
In August of 2019 I produced a new product for dogs at a small shop in Battle Ground, Washington called El & Em. My handmade collars and leashes made their debut at an event called “Dog Days of Summer.” They were an immediate hit and I planned to increase my pet line to include bandanas but sadly the Pandemic of 2020 made a casualty of El&Em.
In September of 2020 we lost our sweet black lab Hannah (who was my model during the August 2019 event). I was crushed and had doubts about moving forward. We still had Miss Ruby, our fox red lab who was 14, and in April I posted on Instagram with the fabrics for the bandanas, but sadly, in May we lost Ruby.
I felt like every time I stepped forward I got pushed two steps backwards. I wanted to give up, but I already had the fabric, so, I pushed myself to finish them. I had chosen 3 fabric combos to represent the 3 family dogs we lost in 2020: Rocky (my daughter's dog); Daisy (my son's dog); and Hannah (my girl). I decided to come up with another combo for Ruby. I hope you enjoy this bandana, and please know that as I made each and every one of them I did so knowing that your beloved pets would wear them.
